Potato Cutlets

Potato Cutlets
Yummy Potato Cutlets

Potato is the most comfort food. It is also the most favorite vegetable for many people. Nutritionally, the potato supplies complex carbohydrates that are essential for energy and a very low amount of protein. It is rich in the minerals iron and magnesium and supplies all the vital nutrients except calcium and vitamins A and D. It is a source of potassium, vitamin C, iron and fiber.

The potato cutlets are my most favorite snack for the evening. Here is my version of the cutlets.

Ingredients:
  • 2 medium Potatoes
  • Some Spinach Leaves
  • Some Cilantro
  • ½ medium Onion
  • 5 or 6 tsp Rice Flour
  • ½ tsp Dry Red Chili Powder
  • Salt to taste
  • Oil to fry
Preparation:
  1. Boil the potatoes, peel the skin and mash into a smooth paste.
  2. Then coarsely chop the spinach and the cilantro. Cut the onion into tiny pieces.
  3. Combine all the above things with the rice flour and the red chili powder and salt. As the mashed potatoes are already wet, no need to add water. Mix them all into a thick paste. Then shape the potato mixture into small patties just like vadas.
  4. Heat a pan and place these patties on the pan, pour little oil around them.
  5. Allow them to cook for a while, by pressing them with a spatula so as to cook them evenly. When one side becomes golden brown, flip it over and cook again.
  6. Repeat the same process with all the cutlets. Take them away from the pan and place on a serving bowl.
  7. Serve the potato cutlets hot with ketchup. They taste better when they are still hot.
  8. This makes a perfect evening snack.Yummy!!

Here are some funny POTATO JOKES:
  • How do you describe an angry potato? Boiling Mad.
  • Why didn't the mother potato want her daughter to marry the famous newscaster? Because he was a commontater.
  • Why wouldn't the reporter leave the mashed potatoes alone? He desperately wanted a scoop.
  • What do you say to an angry 300-pound baked potato? Anything, just butter him up.
  • What does a British potato say when it thinks something is wonderful? It's mashing!
  • What do you call a baby potato? A small fry!
