Maggi Pakodas

Maggi Pakodas

My little one is a picky eater and never finishes her food. So I always have leftovers. She likes Maggi noodles so much, but never finishes that either. I usually throw away the leftover noodles, but one day thought of making pakodas with them. And ta-da! Trust me, they tasted delicious.

Ingredients:
  • Cooked (Left over) Maggi Noodles – 3 cups
  • Chickpea Flour (Senagapindi, Besan) – 1 cup
  • Rice Flour – ½ cup
  • Onion – 1 small
  • Red Chilli Powder – ½ tsp
  • Salt as required
  • Oil to deep fry
Preparation:
  1. Chop onions into tiny pieces. Mix together all the ingredients except oil along with the chopped onions and make into a thick batter with little water.
  2. Make sure the batter is not so watery or too dry. Just add enough water so that the flours stick to the onions.
  3. Heat the oil in a deep-bottomed pan. Then take small portions of the batter and drop into the hot oil carefully.
  4. Deep fry till the pakodas turn golden brown in color. Remove from oil and transfer to a paper towel to remove excess oil. Repeat the same process with remaining batter.
  5. Enjoy these hot pakodas with any dip.
  6. These are perfect for a winter day and a rainy day too!
