Colorful Chapathis for Christmas


These are delicious and colorful chapathis perfect for the Christmas.

Ingredients:
For Red Chapathis:
  • 2 cups Wheat Flour
  • 2 red Bell Peppers
  • 1 tsp Olive Oil
  • Salt to taste
For Green Chapathis:
  • 2 cups Wheat Flour
  • Spinach Puree as required
  • 1 tsp Olive Oil
  • Salt to taste
Preparation:
Red Chapathis:
  1. Mix wheat flour, olive oil and salt. 
  2. Make puree of red bell peppers and add it to the wheat flour mixture. 
  3. Add water if necessary to make nice and smooth chapati dough. 
  4. Let it stand for an hour. Divide into lime size balls and roll out the chapatis. 
  5. Shallow fry them on a pan.
Green Chapathis:
  1. Add spinach puree instead of bell peppers and follow the above recipe.

Yummy, Eggless Fruit Cake for Christmas

First let me talk about the big change I told you about in my previous post. Many of you have guessed correctly!! Yes, I am going to get my own domain from the New Year. I am so happy about it. But I am still working on it and I will give you more details soon.

I’ve been thinking to bake a fruit cake for Christmas, but most of the recipes I found on the net contain rum/brandy in them. As I want kids also (of course us too) to eat it, I wanted to omit it. I know true Christmas Fruit Cake means we have to prepare it traditionally, but hey, nothing wrong in trying this simple and yummy cake too!! It tasted so delicious and I had the satisfaction that I baked some fruit cake for this Christmas.

I love the Christmas atmosphere. Christmas lights and decorations look enchanting everywhere. As the Christmas holidays are approaching, my daughter’s class held a fun-filled holiday tradition called ‘Secret Santa’, where a student is randomly assigned to another student to whom he/she gives a gift anonymously. It’s really a lot of fun to guess who your Secret Santa is! And they’re going to get these gifts and start guessing about their secret Santa on the day of the Christmas party, which is today. For this particular Christmas party, I volunteered to send some cupcakes!
