Colorful Cookies for Christmas |
Hope you all had a wonderful Christmas. Here are some cookies I made for Christmas. We left some cookies and milk for Santa Clause, who was very pleased with the cookies (smile) and left us some presents.
Here is the recipe:
Ingredients:
- 3 cups All Purpose Flour
- 1/2 cup Butter
- 1 ½ cups Sugar
- 1 tsp Baking Soda
- 1 tsp Vanilla Essence
- 1 tsp Salt
Preparation:
- Beat
together butter and sugar until fluffy. Add rest of the ingredients one
by one and mix well. Make thick dough like chapathi dough. Add more
flour if needed. Knead well and roll out into a thick circle. Cut out
into different shapes using cookie cutters of your choice.
- Line a cookie tray with parchment paper
and place the cookies. Make sure there is plenty of space between each
cookie as they tend to enlarge in size as they are getting baked.
- Preheat oven to 350 F. Place the cookie tray and bake for 15 minutes or until the cookies turn light golden brown in color.
- Take
out from the oven and spread on a wire rack to let the cookies cool
completely. Decorate as desired with frosting, sprinkles etc.
- Enjoy!
