Soy Pakoda

Soy Pakoda
Delicious way to eat pakodas

Recently I prepared these delicious pakodas in the same way we prepare Onion Pakodas by replacing chickpea flour with soy flour. They didn’t absorb much oil too. These turned out so yummy and were a hit.

Here is the recipe for the yummy Soy Pakodas:

Ingredients:
  • 1 cup Soy Flour
  • 2 tsp Rice Flour
  • A pinch of Baking Soda
  • A small onion, chopped lengthwise
  • Few Green Chilies, chopped fine
  • Few Curry Leaves
  • Salt as required
  • Oil to deep-fry
Preparation:
  1. Mix all the ingredients except oil and form into a thick batter. It shouldn’t be too soft or too dry. Just add enough water so that the flour sticks to the onions.
  2. Heat oil in a pan and drop the batter in small batches.
  3. Deep-fry them until they turn light brown in color.
  4. Then Transfer the fried pakodas to a plate lined with paper towel to remove excess oil.
  5. Enjoy these healthy and delicious pakodas with desired chutney or dip.
